About Me

I've been an airliner enthusiast for as long as I can remember. As a child, I'd stand in my backyard and take pictures of planes as they passed by overhead. I lived close to the small airport in Boise, Id so I could usually get a good enough shot that'd capture the airline and type of plane. And I never took a trip to the airport without my camera.

Now I'm all grown up and my enthusiasm for all-things-airlines hasn't changed. I want to share my enthusiasm and knowledge with the small niche of people who still love the world of airliners.

About This Blog

The focus of The Airline Man is twofold. First, this website is about keeping up with the inflight experience of the different airlines. Secondly, it's about the different aircraft airlines fly. The two are related. Your experience on a 737 will be vastly different than on the new Boeing 787 Dreamliner. Further, each airline provides their own flying experience, for better or worse.

With emerging technology and the ever-changing needs of passengers, airlines are constantly updating their inflight entertainment, seating configurations and so forth.

That said, I might stray off topic every now and then. But you won't read airline-related financial news here. There are a lot of excellent blogs out there dedicated to airlines' financial news, with writers who actually know what they're talking about. I'm not one of them.

Finally, you will see a lot of pictures. I love pictures of planes. Whether they're taking off, landing, taxiing around the airport or at the gate - I love it all.
